There is something to be said about a great tasting bowl of soup; that when it is consumed it nourishes every ounce of your body and reaches down deep into your soul.
SOUP IS COMFORT FOOD FOR THE SOUL! It has been said that SOUP is the food of the world, every region in the world has soup, soup created with great diversity and dynamic cultural ethnicity. Soup has also been used for medicinal purposes aiding in diet and used for certain ailments. It is with these philosophies in mind that
Soup Pierre has forged forward creating "The healthy alternative for a faster lifestyle ."
Where Did The Name Come From?
The name Soup Pierre is actually a play on the french word "soupiere", meaning soup tureen. Tureen translates into a deep dish used for serving foods such as soups or stews.
A Little Bit About Us Established
in Winnipeg in the fall of 1998, Soup Pierre is 100% locally owned and
operated. Brothers Ron & Ray Chan acquired the concept in 1999 and
haven't looked back since! Both brothers were literally born in the industry,
with their parents owning and operating a prominent local Chinese food
restaurant for over 30 years.
While the eldest brother Ron has stepped out of the day-to-day operations
he still maintains a strong voice in the overall operation. Ray has
remained the steadfast workhorse with the drive to constantly create new recipes
and evolve and streamline the operation.
Collectively they strive to bring Soup Pierre and its philosophies to a
wider audience. First locally with a desire to open 5 more restaurants in
Winnipeg over the next 3 years, then nationally with potential for franchise
opportunity. Soup Pierre, the healthy, hearty, homemade choice!!
